Laila Kwon's talk is about "Social Warming." It is a phrase which encompasses disputes, media, and violence originated by various factors, such as the imposition of power, fear of rejection or even the belief that we deserve more than others.
Social change, like climate change, doesn't happen overnight and has devastating consequences. We need to cool ourselves down some degrees and create a better social climate for our world. This is why Laila proposes a small solution: FTH. (forgive, think, help).
Laila is a Korean Argentine currently in the 12th grade. She has grown up with a unique perspective of the influences of media on our daily lives and awareness of self.
