Comparing signal ramp up behaviour on the Redline 360c (v 1.09) vs. Uniden R8 on an off-axis constant on test approx. 2.6km/1.6 mi in length against 34.7 Ka band radar in a controlled test. Both detectors run separately and combined together in a single video to avoid interference. The Redline is segmented and the R8 is Ka wide (sweeping all bands).
This was setup as a pretty aggressive off-axis which is why the R8 didn't ramp up as good as it usually does and stayed at a lower alert for bit longer when approaching/receding, though it still did really good.
Stalker ATR was setup near a fence line pretty far off the road with some signal obstructions, so this would be a much more difficult scenario than a LEO actually having me in the kill zone. Alert distances are also reduced in this test vs. what a legit encounter on this road would be by a long shot.
This wasn't technically a range test, but both detectors did well with initial detection of approx. 2.5km (1.55m) to 34.7 C/O under these conditions. Both alerted almost at the exact same spot each of my 3 runs. I've tested here before and it was the same result, very consistent results for each.
