U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump has traded barbs with angry Panamanian foreign minister Javier Martinez-Acha over the future of the Panama Canal, which Trump has suggested should be under American control.
China reiterated its support for “the just fight of the Panamanian people in defending the sovereignty of the Panama Canal”.
