Yulimar Rojas of Venezuela announced that she will not compete at the 2024 Olympic Games as she picked up an Achilles injury, forcing her to sit out the year. Despite her absence, she has already solidified herself as the GOAT of the Women’s Triple Jump and has arguably ushered in a new era where the event is the most competitive it has been in over 15 years.
The Paris Olympic Triple Jump field is wide open and the gold medal will not be easy to win, but a bunch of women are all vying for a spot at the top of the podium.
