JustAnswer Customer: any idea where the thermostat is on a john deere 6x4 gator gas engine?

JustAnswer Customer: it's about 15 years old.
JustAnswer Customer: Engine overheated last winter when I ran it a long time.
JustAnswer Customer: Doesn't overheat when we use it to dump horse poop for about 10 minutes.
JustAnswer Customer: both in and out hoses between engine and radiator are warm.
JustAnswer Customer: can't tell if coolant is flowing in the radiator but it must be so I'm guessing the water pump is ok.
Pearl Wilson: Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
JustAnswer Customer: maybe, if I can figure out where the thermostat is

JustAnswer Customer: not that I can think of.
JustAnswer Customer: I do have a new thermostat.
JustAnswer Customer: it's the gas engine not the diesel.
JustAnswer Customer: Kawasaki.

JustAnswer Customer: All I need is where it is on the engine.
JustAnswer Customer: I think the thermostat is on the exit side of the engine going to the top of the radiator
