Zebra Cake Recipe | No Egg | No Butter | Marble Cake Recipe

This zebra cake recipe is a combo of vanilla and chocolate cake baked together in a striking striped pattern. This cake may look intimidating but it’s surprisingly simple to pull off. It’s similar to marble cake but a little more fun and flashy. Each forkful delivers a soft and moist texture and a perfect blend of delicious vanilla and chocolate flavor.
You’ll need:
• 1 ¾ cup all purpose flour
• 2 ¼ tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• ¾ cup white sugar
• 1 cup milk (lukewarm)
• ½ cup vegetable/canola oil
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 tbsp cocoa powder + 2 tbsp milk (warm)
Cool. Serve. Enjoy!
* Using an 8” round baking pan in the video (You can also use 7" round baking pan)
:: HELPFUL HINTS ::
* Get the perfect stripes. Pour the batter in one spot (on top center of another batter). Allow the batter to naturally spread from the weight of the next batter being poured on top of it.
* Check if the cake is done. Insert a toothpick at the center of the cake, if it comes out clean then take it out from the oven.
* Allow cake to cool completely before slicing. Let the cake rest in the pan for about half an hour. Then transfer it to wire rack to allow it to cool completely. Slicing the cake when it’s completely cool ensures that you'll have a clean cut and more pronounced zebra pattern.
