Zillow Or Redfin - What Is The Better Value For Home | Home Buying Tips

Both Zillow and Redfin often give valuations that are BOTH below and above actual market values.

When a homebuyer purchases a home, their lender requires an appraisal, that appraiser does NOT use any data from Zillow or Redfin.

Actual market value of a property is determined from recent sales activity in the area/neighborhood, with like kind, or better known as 'comps' (comparables).
