This tutorial is packed with tips and techniques for drawing fur featuring this Lion cub pastel drawing. Drawing a Lion cub and the softer fur will rely on the layering process and pencil technique. Specifically the pressure applied to the pencil which will effect the type of pencil stroke created. Drawing realistic fur with pastel pencils starts with a good base layer.
