My small 48v battery voltage was reading 2 volt higher on the charger then when off. So I found this is a sign of a bad BMS. Think this was caused by connecting in parallel when the voltage was off by more then .1v rush current in and firing it. When really I now know to get it within .02v.
The easiest fix for this is to replace the BMS with a new one. However I forgot to check to balancing lead polarity and the unit I bought went pop. So I order an other one.
Please use caution when working on your own battery for you may injure yourself or burn down your house. It could even lead to your death. I show my mistakes so others can learn from them. Let make this clear I am in no way responsible for your mistakes.
