Batik Air Airbus A320 Nose Gear Rotated 90° Sideways at Jambi Airport, Indonesia.
☀️Indonesian Batik Air Airbus A320-214 , Regd. PK-LUT doing flight-6803 from Jambi to Jakarta ,returned to Jambi for an emergency landing with the NLG wheels turned 90° sideways.
☀️Cockpit crew decided to turn back from 3000 feet altitude after noticing a cockpit warning pertaining to Nose landing gear disagreement.
☀️On landing roll after touchdown, the NLG gear dragged for a while producing fire, sparks and smoke from the nose gear before coming to complete rest , as the NLG wheels could not make rotation.
☀️Flight ID-6803, Batik Air had 6 crew members, 117 passengers.Passengers disembarked onto the runway via stairs. No injuries reported.
