On 28 March 2017 SMRT started its first trial run of the new comminications-based train control (CBTC) system from Thales under revenue service conditions. This video depicts the braking curve under the new system and doors opening, both of which bear resemblance to the case of the existing CBTC systems on the fully driverless MRT lines.
