How to use the PTO function on a 1991 Ford F350 dump truck.

This particular model uses a specific order of events in order operate this sort of PTO;

1. Warm up the vehicle for a few minutes, then drive around the block a few times (when weather is cold). This will warm up the transmission.

2. Hold clutch pedal in, shift transmission to neutral and continue to hold clutch pedal.

3. Pull PTO button up until fully extended (one closest to the dashboard).

4. Remove foot from clutch completely.

5. Pull hydraulic lever button until fully extended (one closest to the bench). This should engage the lift to start tilting the bed to dump.

6. Reverse order to bring down dump bed and safely but your truck back into driving mode. Note: DO NOT DRIVE WITH PTO ENGAGED!
