AS2 or Applicability Statement 2, is a protocol used to securely exchange files through the internet, using the web protocol HTTP or HTTPS, as the transport mechanism. It is used extensively for the exchange of business documents such as EDI (either the American Standards Committee X12 or UN/EDIFACT) document types, XML, JSON, CSV, binary or flat files.
