During the first in-person consortium meeting of the PRO-GRACE project, that took place in Chania, Greece, in October 2023, we took a moment to speak with the Project Coordinator and project partners to get their take on why the project is important and what their specific role in it is.
Theo van Hintum, Centre for Genetic Resources, Wageningen University, explained why setting up a research infrastructure for plant genetic resources is important and how it will contribute to the collaboration efforts between scientists and gene banks.
