This is a simple explanation of the rock cycle. The rock cycle includes igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks transforming from one type of rock to another.
The rock cycle includes metamorphism, lithification, and weathering. The source for many of these rocks is magma found inside the Earth.
