ComMon - Community monitoring platform is a solution designed for Slovene press clipping company. It allows for high-throughput, online textual data analysis and reporting. The system was designed using scalable open-source technologies such as Apache Spark or Apache Solr. Online analyses extract general knowledge from the ingested data, while offline analyses offer the company to prepare an in-depth media analysis for their customers. It also offers dashboards to monitor the whole system (system administration view) and observe analyses of the data based on real-time analysis (user view). As a part public availability, a Sentimeter site was designed to offer insights into the state of society.
