Drinking water is very important and hydration is crucial not just to health but to actually staying alive. Humans can only survive for about 3 days without water.
We've all heard that the majority of the body consists of water and how essential it is for every metabolic process. However, in this video, we talk about what this body water is and how it works.
We explain the process known as osmosis and how water molecules move inside and outside the cells. We talk about blood osmolarity, osmoreceptors and the thirst centre located in the brain, more specifically inside the hypothalamus.
Hopefully, after watching this video from Doron's Academy you get a better understanding of what exactly happens inside your body when you hydrate and we hope that it entices you to drink more water.
Thank you for watching and please leave us feedback on what sort of videos you would like to see and how you would like this format to develop.
