BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday made a frontal attack on CM Nitish Kumar for first breaking the JD(U)-BJP ties and then aligning with the Congress and RJD chief Lalu Prasad. Addressing a meet of NDA workers at the Gandhi Maidan here on a rain-drenched day, Shah termed the JD(U) breaking ties with BJP as an act of treachery and stabbing in the back as people had voted the combine to power in 2010. He also castigated Nitish saying the 15 years' RJD rule was nothing less than a 'duhswapna (nightmare)' for the people of Bihar. He, in the same vein, appealed to the people to give 185+ seats to the BJP-led NDA in the 243-member assembly in the coming elections so that the next government works in sync with the NDA dispensation under PM Narendra Modi at the Centre for Bihar's development and economic growth. PM Modi is scheduled to address a rally at Muzaffarpur on July 25. "He would also unravel his plans and vision for Bihar's development," Shah said. Shah also flagged off 160 motorized 'parivartan raths' on a 100-day intense publicity drive in all the assembly constituencies. He said the PM's July 25 meeting has also been called 'parivartan' rally. Later, the number of 'raths' would be increased to 260, he added.
