What is mycoplasma, and why do they matter?
Mycoplasma is a genus of bacteria. That locks the cell wall around their cell membrane and 95% of mycoplasma contamination comes from the following six species. Studies have found that mycoplasma and cell culture can cause a variety of problems during your research, ranging from inhibition of proliferation, to fragmentation of DNA, and even cell death.
