A Northern Territory police officer has appeared before a court for the first time in Alice Springs following the shooting death of 19-year-old Kumanjayi Walker in Yuendumu last month.
Lawyers for Constable Zachary Rolfe applied to have the court proceedings moved to Darwin, arguing he won't get a fair trial in Central Australia.
There won't be a decision on that application until next week.
