Omar Abdullah, the leader of the National Conference and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, claimed on October 31 that the Ladakh administration had tried to prevent him from travelling to Ladakh. He said, 'We were told by the administration not to visit the location. Why are they afraid? "You (the government) can't stop China or push them back, but when we tried to travel from Srinagar to Kargil via Drass, they wouldn't let us.'
