This is a piano piece inspired and dedicated to my life partner Estefania and the child we're expecting. It was written at a time of change in my life on many levels, and this reflects both the uncertainty and the excitement of the future ahead. This is conveyed through the use of chromatic harmonies where the resolution to a home key is delayed. The central slow section is more lyrical, with a sense of calmness and the feeling that "everything will be all right".
