If you don't know Jak & Jil (the blog, not the nursery rhyme), you've probably been hiding under an unfashionable rock since 2005. Tommy Ton, the site's founder, is one of the original street style photographers.
His taste and pictures are instantly recognizable. But here's the weird thing: Until we partnered with Tribeca Enterprises to make this documentary, we couldn't have picked him out of a lineup. That's why we're thrilled to present our first short documentary, Chasing Tommy Ton.
In the film, we turn the camera around on Ton to reveal his day-to-day life, from what he looks for in a subject to why he loves his job. The craziest part? Director Christina Voros and her team shot it entirely in the last month, mostly during Fashion Week.
Like Tommy Ton, we like gratification in a flash.
