7 Tips On How To Get Better Lash Retention

1️⃣ Squeaky clean lashes. Either give your clients a lash bath as part of the service or set up a lash washing station. Cleaning lashes with a lash cleanser right before the appointment makes all the difference.

2️⃣ Primer. After the lashes have been washed and dried, priming them will remove any excess oil next behind. It creates the perfect surface for lash glue to stick to.

3️⃣ Quality lash glue. Choose a quality glue that matches your lashing speed. Be careful not to use a .5 second dry time if your application time is 1 second per lash. Always store lash adhesive properly and take good care of your glue nozzle.

4️⃣ Use the right amount of glue. Too little glue will result in a poor bond to the natural lash. Too much glue can cause issues too. Dip the extension 1.5-2 mm into the centre of your glue drop and slowly remove.

5️⃣ Proper placement. Make sure your lash extension bases are not lifted. If they are even slightly lifted, they can pop off prematurely causing poor retention. The base of the extension should be flush with the natural lash.
