In August 2023, I went trekking to the summit of Mount Inerie to see the sunrise. Mount Inerie, a volcano located in the south-central part of the island, stands at an altitude of 2,245 meters above sea level. Its stunning pyramid shape is easily visible from many miles away.
The trek starts at an elevation of approximately 900 meters from Watumeze village, around 15 kilometers from Bajawa.
