Hi, my names Ben Leach and I’m an advisor for Towergate.
In this video I’m going to talk about new for old insurance on sails and masts.

Apart from the hull which obviously keeps you afloat, your sails and mast are the most important part of your dingy. Without them you effectively just have an odd looking bath tub.

If a mast breaks or a sail rips beyond repair it can be quite difficult establishing the age of the mast and sail and therefore determine its value. To make this process much easier and get you back on the water sooner, we offer new for old cover on all our dinghy insurance policies. That means we’ll replace your broken mast and/or ripped sails with the equivalent standard currently on the market.
