Amer Ali Khan Participates in Coordination Meeting Ahead of Three-Day Ijtema in Shankarpally

_Hyderabad, January 2, 2025_: Amer Ali Khan, Member of the Legislative Council, on Thursday participated in a coordination meeting involving the Revenue Department, Cyberabad Police, and members of the Tablighi Jamaat in preparation for the three-day ijtema (public conclave) scheduled to be held in Shankarpally from January 3 to January 5.

The meeting, aimed at ensuring seamless organisation and safety measures for the event, saw Mr Khan inspecting the facilities prepared for the ijtema. According to the organisers, the venue will have 25 dining areas capable of accommodating 3,500 people, 12 large toilet areas, and six wazu (ablution) areas, each designed to cater to several thousand attendees.

The event is being held on a land parcel belonging to TSGENCO, for which the necessary permissions have been obtained from the relevant authorities. The organisers, in conjunction with the government, working tirelessly for the past 45 days, have focused on ensuring robust safety and security measures and the provision of essential amenities for the participants.

In a statement issued to the media, Mr Khan highlighted the significance of the ijtema, stating that it aims to bring Muslims closer to God and inspire acts of piety. He emphasised, "Islam is a religion that encourages doing good deeds, refraining from harmful actions, and guiding others toward virtuous paths while avoiding what is prohibited."

He also said that the Telangana government is extending its support, t o ensure the safety of the attendees and the smooth conduct of the ijtema. "The government is fully committed to facilitating this event and ensuring it concludes without any issues," he said.
