I wanted to test Counter Strike: Source running on high settings and in 720p HD. As you can see, the Intel GMA 4500MHD is not very powerful but will be able to run CS:S.
This is just a quick test of the render settings and how smooth it will run. This is not really intended for any gameplay reasons, I just wanted to test the 720p quality.
I used FRAPS to record this footage, the average FPS when recording was 19-32 FPS. It depends on the area of the map.
Here is my system specs:
Model: HP Pavilion dv7-1157cl Refurbished
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU T5800 @2.22 GHz
Memory: 4060 RAM (4 GB)
Hard Drive Space: 502 GB
Resolution: 1440 x 900
Graphics Card: Mobile Intel(R) Series Express Chip-set Family- Intel GMA 4500 MHD
DirectX Version: DX11
I am surprised at what a older and weaker Intel graphics card can really do. My laptop isn't intended for demanding games, but it is sufficient enough.
This graphics card has only 64 MB of video memory, it can run most source engine games at high end settings, but don't expect to play many of "today's" games!
