The SABC's correspondent to the UN, Sherwin Bryce-Pease, is the first African to be elected president of UN Correspondents Association.
Bryce-Pease was one of a few, select candidates shortlisted to lead the UN's team of international correspondents. Earlier in December 2016, Bryce-Pease won the silver prize in the Ricardo Ortega category at the 19th Annual Correspondence Awards.
