Hi everyone and welcome on board the final ride in 2024! And last but not least we get to drive one of our newest trains in The Netherlands. The ICNG-B meant for the Eurocity Direct trains between Brussels, Antwerpen, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Almere and Lelystad!

Due to shortage of staff at NS International de domestic train drivers from The Netherlands help them out within our own borders. Today I took this train over in Amsterdam Zuid. Another colleague was driving along until Almere. That's why this ride is pretty short. But since I had de opportunity to take some really nice pictures I think you will find this video very interesting! :D Are you ready? Let's go!

0:00 Almere Centrum
Because we already arrived here at 80km/h from Amsterdam Zuid the speed is set directly to 80km/h at departure. This train is now almost at it's final destination. It departed about 2.5 hours earlier from Brussel Zuid. We take it for the finish in Lelystad!

2:32 Almere Parkwijk

4:17 Almere Buiten
A bit of a weird stop for an international train. But we must make a 3 minute stopover at Almere Buiten. I will show you the image we see on the tablet. This shows there's a sprinter running ahead of us towards Lelystad. If we would not make this stop we must've slowed down for the sprinter. The stop on Buiten is temporary until Alstom has delivered enough ICNG in The Netherlands. The order is about 1.5 years delayed due to corona and some technical difficulties in the build of ICNG. New trains are now coming in quickly. :) Plans are to let ICNG run all the way to Leeuwarden and Groningen. When that happens the stop at Almere Buiten will be cancelled for this train.

Enjoy the view on a huge part of The Netherlands that was under water in the past. The Dutch made the land and let nature go its way here. :) Always fun driving through this area.

16:46 Lelystad Zuid
Future station for Lelystad. Well if houses will be build of course. ;)

18:00 Lelystad Centrum
Final stop for this train! Passengers will be let out of the train. Cleaners will get in and the doors will get shut. After that we take the train to the shunting track.

19:36 Getting Ready for Shunting
Getting a white setting on the trains interior lights for the cleaners. Also we will contact the train dispatcher to get the shunting train numbers.

We won't get the train fully to the tracks end. Why? I will show you in the pictures after that! Enjoy them! :D
