Can I get Canadian documents apostilled if I need to use them abroad?
Canada is not a signatory of the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement for Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents, the convention which introduced the system of apostille instead of document legalization. As a consequence, documents issued in Canada sometimes need to be authenticated or legalized in order to be used abroad.
