The Mumbai CST - Nagpur Duronto Express used to run with an LHB-hybrid rake (in Duronto livery). Just a couple of days ago, it left from Nagpur for the first time with a pure LHB rake (red Rajdhani livery). The train needs 2 rakes to manage both the directions. The second new LHB rake that came into Mumbai today morning had 2 swanky new bezel-less window coaches, which look really swanky compared to the separate windows. I got updated about this from railfan Arzan Kotval, many thanks to him. So in the evening I went to Dadar station to capture this train leaving Mumbai.
It came at 08:30 pm, cautiously passing through platform 4, making wonderful crispy track sounds. The new LHB rake was shining nicely in the bright lighting of Dadar. The 2 new coaches in their silver colour with red stripes also looked very nice. And the icing on the cake was the double WAP-7 locomotives in the front. Only the front one was powered on, the trailing one was dead. Still it was nice seeing two clean Ajni WAP-7 locomotives. The only sad thing was the driver was relaxed and not speeding much, though he accelerated in the end. He did not even honk while passing a station like Dadar. Anyway it was still worth getting the video.
