In this video, we perform a side by side comparison of a D color vs an I color diamond ring. On the GIA color grading scale, they are labelled as colorless and near colorless respectively.
While these two rings are more than 5 color grades apart, the yellow color differences between them are not readily seen with the eyes in the face up view.
To this end, I've performed the comparisons of a D vs I diamond in 3 different lighting scenarios that you will find yourself in most of the time.
The point is, can you see the differences between colorless and near colorless diamonds in real life conditions or the differences merely an issue of psychology?
