1 and 1/4 cups of basmati rice, washed and soaked dor 1 hour
3/4 cup of black lentils /kharay masoor dal
4 tbs of cooking oil
1 tsp of cumin seeds
1 black cardamom
3 green cardamom pods
4 cloves
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
2 medium size onions, sliced
3/4 tbs of ginger garlic paste
1 medium size tomato, chopped
1/2 cup of chopped carrots
3/4 cup of chopped french beans
3/4 cup of red capsicum
3/4 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of coriander powder
1/2 tsp of cumin powder
salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves
3 and 3/4 cups of water
