The decision by Health Minister Brad Hazzard comes despite a new COVID-19 case linked to the Avalon cluster being announced yesterday.

NSW has recorded four new locally acquired coronavirus infections in the 24 hours to 8.00pm last night.

Two are linked to the Berala cluster, one is linked to the Croydon cluster and the other infection (reported yesterday) is linked to the Avalon cluster.
