A comparison of the 144mHz stock antenna and the Smiley 5/8 Slim Duck 155-165mHz antenna on the Yaesu FT270. The latter is tuned for railroad and weather bands and therefore will give improved range and reception. Can't wait to take it to the tracks and see how it does railfanning!
