Curing your own corn for kokanee fishing can be a chore. The time consuming process, however, can yield exceptional results and is rewarding for anglers looking to catch kokanee on a product they personally made.
Guide Rick Kennedy of Tight Lines Guide Service has made his own corn for nearly two decades. Personally, he uses Pautzke's pre-cured, dyed and scented FireCorn, most of the time. Nonetheless, when he uses shoepeg corn (FireCorn is made with sweet corn.) he makes his own.
Follow along with Kennedy and Pautzke Director of Operations Chris Shaffer as they explore the options of curing shoepeg corn with FireCure and Nectar.
