He is an eminent music composer from Bengal. He is also known in Bollywood for his remarkable musical work in Rituparna Ghosh’s film “Rain Coat” and Bhavna Talwar's National Award winning film “Dharm”

Debojyoti Mishra comes from a musical family where his father Jahnabi Ranjan Mishra ,a disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Shishir Konya Dhar Choudhary, taught him the violin. He also used to assist the legend Salil Chowdhury on violin .
