Cleveland weather forecast for Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
We have a Weather Impact Alert Day today as rain and storms are expected to develop and we'll see some very heavy rainfall out of some of them.
An area of low pressure to our south in combination with a cold front moving in from the northwest will put the squeeze-play on in terms of our moisture. We'll begin to develop downpours later this morning that will grow into thunderstorms as the midday and early afternoon hours progress. Some of these storms will produce some torrential rain as our atmosphere is loaded and ready to be wrung out! We have a low-end severe threat for these storms -- highest in our southeast counties where strong winds and hail will be possible.
We'll clear out tonight with areas of fog. Fog will be possible early Thursday before much drier, cooler air brings out lots of sunshine. Highs Thursday will settle into the mid 70s.
We do it all over again this upcoming weekend with a cold front expected to trigger numerous showers and storms Saturday into Saturday night before we dry out and cool down again on Sunday!
