When it comes to who is being impacted by COVID-19, Statistics Canada shows mortality rates are higher in neighbourhoods with more visible minorities. But in B.C., it's not known which ethnicities are most susceptible because the province doesn't collect race-based data like Ontario, for example. It's prompting members of the South Asian community to call for the province to collect and share that data.
