More than 100 Singaporeans are currently in a legal dispute with a Malaysian property developer, after finding out that they are not legal owners of their purchased units.

The Singaporeans thought that they were buying 99-year leasehold units, but instead the developer had sold them under a Private Lease Scheme, which is unique to some properties in Malaysia.
