This process was intense. I’m excited to finally be able to share everything that happened in the 3 days before the launch of the event, through the last day it was open.
When the airplane hit the pavement in Miami it was go-time, nonstop planning, gathering and making. I was able to transform this abandoned warehouse room into an immersive interactive portal, run of off creative energy.
The purpose of this room was to showcase that each human here on earth, is an infinite creative being, who can do and achieve anything they desire.
One way I taught people this was with the interactive creation station. I provided paper, glue, collage/drawing materials and simply encouraged the audience to create something. The turn out exceeded my imagination. Floods of people gathered around the table chatting, drawing and just freely expressing themselves. My goal was achieved. I wanted to make a safe environment for people to express themselves through art, encourage them to try something new and also leave with a new perspective. We ran out of supplies 3 times and the wall started to overflow, but I loved every second.
This room was special to me for many reasons and I’m thrilled that I was able to share it with a new audience. Stay tuned for what's next and share this video with other people, artists, and organizations that might want an activation like this of their own!
What are your 2020 goals? How can we help each other, collaborate, etc? Comment below and let me know!
