What Happened To The Aircraft: Korean Air Flight 801 was a tragic aviation accident that occurred on August 6, 1997. The flight was en route from Seoul, South Korea, to Guam, when it crashed into a hillside near the airport in poor weather conditions. Unfortunately, 228 of the 254 people on board lost their lives in the accident. The cause of the crash was attributed to a combination of factors, including the crew's failure to properly execute the approach and landing procedures, as well as the lack of situational awareness regarding the aircraft's position. The incident prompted significant changes in aviation safety regulations and procedures.
