Residents and visitors of the Abaco Islands, a group of islands in the Bahamas hardest hit by Hurricane Dorian, describe their experiences of riding out a Category 5 storm.

Dozens of people were struggling to get off the island on Sept. 6 as the island was left devastated and lacking, food, water and other necessary resources.

Some of the residents even described fearing for their safety as they watched people on the island looting homes after Dorian's departure.
