The Evo80 is a pre-built keyboard and is a collaboration board between Neo Studio and Qwertykeys. This board features the same easy assembly/disassembly of the case as well as magnetic connection, as seen in recent Neo and QK boards. And of course, this pre-built board comes with switches, keycaps, stabs and everything you need for the board to function, right out of the box. This board is great for those who wants to get a feel and sound of a custom keyboard without spending extras on parts and accessories.
This year is truly the year of pre-built keyboards (and 75% layout!) and they just kept getting better! This time we are looking at a TKL layout and spoiler alert, this has got to be my favourite pre-built I've tried so far (bridge75 comes close but I don't like 75%🫣). The board sounds really good right out of the box! However the switches were too light but they sounded so creamy when paired with the PP plate and all foams. I'm also very surprised that the Evo80 comes in 10 different colourways, which I had a very hard time choosing for my review unit. (Went for cream just because it was my 'safe colour' but now I regret not getting the butter yellow colourway)
The Evo80 is definitely meant for an all foams config build so I do not recommend removing the foams, unless you're looking for a specific sound or feel. If you're more into custom keyboards, this may not satisfy your custom needs but it is still enough for you tinker around if you're on a budget. This board is very very beginner friendly as it comes in with instruction booklet and anyone new to the keyboard world will find this board an upgrade to your average membrane keyboards🫣
