The C20 WG on Sustainable & Resilient Communities (SRC) organises a Policy Round Table on the theme: “Preserving Life on Earth: The Importance of Biodiversity Conservation and the Role of Civil Society Organisations in Environmental Protection”.
The Policy Round Table will deliberate on the following topics:
1. Current challenges of conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity from multiple ecosystems [forest, water, fishery (marine), agro-forestry, etc] perspectives
2. Policies and interventions by national and international agencies (institutions) and their impacts on Biodiversity Conservation and community livelihoods
3. The contributions of Civil Society Organisations in Biodiversity Conservation: Successful cases (Udaharans) and their potential for scaling up
4. Broadbasing Biodiversity Conservation as Global Climate Action agenda: Financial and Governance issues
5. Water, Biodiversity and Human Well-being
