Today we're going to be taking a look at part ALL620470. This is the Powerbuilt Unijack. It's going to have a capacity, a weight capacity of 4,000 pounds. It's a hydraulic bottle jack that's going to raise, lower, and stable unibody vehicles which makes it ideal for cars, crossovers, and small SUVs and trucks. It's going to have the safety bar lock, that's going to lock the jack into place. It's going to remove the need for any additional or separate jack stands.
It's also going to feature the nice, wide base. This is going to provide more stability for lifting loads safely. You also have an adjustable extension bar right here. Simply by pulling out the pin, you can see there it's got multiple holes there so you an adjust the height as needed. If we take a measurement of the top portion right here, this is the portion that's going to be making contact with the frame of the vehicle. Measuring this direction from outer edge to outer edge, that's going to give us a measurement of 1 5/8 inch.
If we take a measurement of that contact surface of that outer edge to outer edge going this direction, that's going to measure about 2 1/4 inch. That locking lever, when it's pushed all the way down, that's going to be in the lock position. That's going to be engaged. As the vehicle rises, the lock and lever will engage with the ratchet bar, and that's going to prevent accidental lowering. This down here, this is going to be our release valve. It's going to be controlled by one end of the handle there.
When you are using this you want to make sure that release valve is turned all the way clockwise in the closed position. It is going to include the handle. It's two pieces held together with this screw right here. You're going to get a nice detailed owners manual for instructions and maintenance responsibilities. Again, this is going to offer a weight capacity of 4,000 pounds. If we take a measurement of the base here, measuring this direction, it's going to give us a measurement of about 7 1/2 inches.
If we turn it and measure this direction, it's going to give us a measurement of about 6 1/2 inches. The lift range for this jack is going to be 8 5/8 inch to 18 3/8 inch. Just keep in mind that this jack is meant to lift and stabilize 4,000 pounds and it should not be used to lift over that capacity. When it comes to using the unijack, you want to begin using the unijack by placing it on a solid level surface, in the vertical position under the vehicle or the object that you are going to be lifting. Your going to need to determine the best lifting point to support the bottle jack and line up the piston ram directly underneath it. Now once everything is lined up correctly, you want to make sure that this release valve at the base is in the fully closed position. Then you can place the handle into the socket right here. That's going to allow us to actually do the lifting. Once you have the vehicle lifted to the desired height, you're going to have that adjustable tension bar, excuse me the adjustable extension bar. Once you have the vehicle lifted to the desired height, the jack is going to automatically lock into place. It's going to be at the down position. When you're ready to release the jack and lower the vehicle, what you'll want to do is raise the vehicle, and then lift upward on the lock-in lever. Then you want to turn the release valve counterclockwise, and it's going to open it up a little bit. As weight is sitting on here that's going to push the unit back into the down position. Another note to keep in mind is that when storing this you want to make sure everything is compressed or depressed back into the down position. That's going to protect the exposed areas from excessive corrosion. That's going to do it for our review for part number ALL620470. This is the Powerbuilt Unijack with a weight capacity of 4,000 pounds.
