NATO has appealed for calm to quell a violent rise in tension between Kosovo and Serbia.
It comes after a Kosovo policeman was hurt by gunfire on Monday night when Kosovo forces tried to gain control of a border post in an ethnic Serb area.
Borko Stefanovic, the head of Serbia's dialogue team, said: "Our requests are very clear here, Serbs are gathered here on the barricades. We won't withdraw from the place until all conditions are met. We also want the EU's police force to pull out immediately, until the situation is resolved."
