This video shows basic instructions how to make milk kefir. Milk kefir is a natural, probiotic drink rich in healthy bacteria from fermented milk cultures. These probiotic rich bacteria stimulate a healthy immune system and overall gut health. Milk kefir is made by "activating" milk kefir cultures - which contain more than 60 strains of healthy bacteria (as opposed to store-bought yogurt or kefir which has roughly five). Activation happens when the dehydrated grains are cultured in milk for 12-24 hours. The milk is strained out and fresh milk is added until the kefir is fully active and will culture a fresh batch of milk every day.
