7/21/22 Galien Foundation Prix Galien Golden Jubilee Award Nominee Webinar Series “Best of the Best in BioTech” Session
On July 21, 2022, the Galien Foundation hosted the second in its “Prix Galien Golden Jubilee Award Nominee” Zoom webinar series in the lead up to the announcement of the award laureates on October 27, 2022. Nominees were selected by a distinguished international panel of Prix Galien committee members past and present, from among the 250 products awarded the Prix Galien award by 14 member country chapters between 1970 and 2020.
The webinars are organized around the five Prix Galien categories (Medtech, BiotTech, Vaccines, Pharmaceuticals and Orphan and Rare Diseases). This “Best of the Best in BioTech” session, moderated by Dr. Michael Rosenblatt, Senior Partner, Flagship Pioneering, featured leaders from the Prix Galien Golden Jubilee Award nominee companies, including:
Dr. Maura N. Dickler, Vice President and Global Head of Product Development for Breast and Gynecologic Cancer, Genentech/Roche for Avastin and Herceptin

The conversation highlighted the "bench to bedside" product development journey, related challenges to bringing technology and innovation to people and markets, and the motivation for and impact of each nominated product.
This webinar series provides a preview of high-level discussions planned for the October 27, 2022 Galien Forum USA, which convenes executives from the healthcare industry; top experts from academia; leading voices from patient groups, non-governmental organizations and multilateral institutions; and other key stakeholders in life sciences to assess the state of progress in medical research and promote the ethical practice of healthcare and medicine worldwide. The Golden Jubilee Award Laureates will be announced the evening of the Galien Forum, at the Prix Galien Award Ceremony at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
